About Van der Tol

Landscaping firm Van der Tol is a specialist in the design, lay-out and maintenance of urban greenery. The company has approximately 180 employees and mainly operates in the Randstad. Here they provide, among others, the lay-out and maintenance of roof gardens and vegetation roofs, vertical green applications and terrain on ground level. Many of these activities take place in the city, for example in the city centre of Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht.

The collaboration with Koninklijke Saan

Many of the locations where Van der Tol gardeners do their work, such as gardens of canalside houses or roof terraces, are difficult to reach. For more than 15 years Koninklijke Saan has been supplying Van der Tol with both mobile telecranes and tower cranes in order to carry out the following activities:
• Lifting big bags with landscaping materials; sand, gravel, wood, tiles etc.
• Lifting containers or big bags for disposing of materials
• Lifting trees, both new and felled ones
Saan also applies for any permit and exemption necessary for erecting the tower crane.
