Certificates

Saan’s ambition is to constantly carry on growing and improving. For that reason we are certified for a number of management systems in the field of quality, health, safety and the environment. Below you will find an overview of our certifications and you may download our current certificates.

VCA-P

VCA stands for Veiligheid, gezondheid en milieu Checklist Aannemers (Health, Safety and Environment Checklist Contractors) but in practice it covers a great deal more. VCA is a complete scheme by which companies may be objectively and structurally audited and certified concerning their health, safety and environmental (in Dutch: VGM) management systems. Koninklijke Saan has held a VCA**certificate since as early as 1996 and at the end of 2014 this was scaled up to VCA Petrochemicals. This VCA certificate is valid for three years.

ISO-9001

Saan has been ISO-9001 certified certified since 1994. In connection with this we are constantly implementing improvement projects so as to further optimise our operational management. This ISO certificate is valid for three years. After that, it must be extended. So every three years an extension audit is performed by an external firm that checks whether Saan is still complying with the standard. Every year there are also interim checks (surveillance audits) by an external firm and our Quality and Safety Coordinator performs regular internal audits. Ways of working are improved or procedures are revised on the basis of these audits.

ISO-14001

Saan has been ISO 14001 certified since May 2011. This ISO certificate is an international standard in the area of environmental management. The environmental risks of operational management can be managed and if possible reduced with the aid of an environmental protection system in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.

CO2 Performance Ladder

The CO2 Performance Ladder has been developed with the aim of encouraging companies to treat CO2 with care. In fact, this concerns energy savings, the efficient use of materials and the use of sustainable energy. Koninklijke Saan has been certified to Level 3 on the CO2 Performance Ladder since November 2012

VVT (Vertical Handling Association) accreditation regulations

The vertical handling sector takes care of risky tasks. The use of expensive and complex equipment, the additional legislation and regulations involved and the specific safety requirements of clients make extra demands on the operational process and the people who work on it. To promote this and thereby to support companies, VVT has developed the VVT accreditation regulations for vertical handling. Saan naturally observes the VVT accreditation regulations itself.
